Apart from that, solid hardwood flooring is also sensitive to moisture. That’s why it’s not recommended for below-ground level room or installed over concrete slab, such as basement. Even so, solid hardwood can be refinished for many times, thus you can use it for a longer period of time too.

Well, it is mostly due to how the engineered wood floor can be used for more rooms, thus offering more flexible choice of flooring. The installation is breeze as well—you can staple down, nail down, or glue down engineered hardwood flooring. Even it can float over existing flooring!
